The arcade of Live Oaks was nice (I'm a sucker for tree arcades since I visited Oak Alley), the gardens were pretty, but the house left me cold. The original plantation house was demolished in the 1920's so this modern house could be built. Anyway, it was used in the TV miniseries "The Blue and the Gray" There are some nice antiques inside, but that's about it. Pity you just can't see the trees without having pay to see the house.
