Garden of Memories

As we walk the path, our lives are touched by many. These are but a few of souls who have given me joy to be in their presence. I'd like to honour them here in the Garden of Memories.

In loving memory of my mother, Catharine. She was raised on a farm in Skippack, Pennsylvania. Her choice of career was a registerd nurse. She worked as a private duty nurse, a ward nurse and as a nursing supervisor.
Mother as a student nurse at Germantown, Hospital (on rt)

In loving memory of my father, Arthur. He worked as an engineer, a photographer and loved his model trains. He always said he enjoyed his years in the US Navy and his time at sea.
Dad in his uniform, on leave.

In loving memory of my uncle, Harry. Gardener, musician, photographer.
I love this picture of Harry and my dog, Juliana. Those are curly ribbons on the dog's head.

It was someone's birthday and Harry made a ribbon bonnet for the dog. She loved it, as you can see.

In loving memory of the pets who have shared my life. My dogs Freckles, Juliana and Kate, and my kitty, Maybelle.

My Beagle, Freckles was birthday gift from my uncle. She was my closest childhood friend.

Juliana was a Keeshond, the national dog of The Netherlands. I raised her to be a showdog

She was happiest at home, where she was the clown of the household.

Katie was a great dog. She had an empathy that few humans possess.

She was a part of our life for 14 years

What can you say about a cat who was in charge of your house for 23 years?
Maybelle was a goddess cat.

The roses pictured are from my own garden. With the exception of the red rose, they all all from Jackson and Perkins. They are : Heritage, Pristine, and Signature.
The red rose, my first attempt at developing a rose, was "Cher Louis".
